Abstract

La Habana de Eusebio Leal

RESUMEN: El artículo hace un breve recuento de la obra de Eusebio Leal Spengler al frente de la Oficina del Historiador de la Ciudad con motivo de su reciente fallecimiento. Se ponen de relieve el sistema de gestión, las fuentes de ingresos, y la estructura de instituciones encargadas de la conservación de la Habana Vieja. También se mencionan algunos de los resultados más relevantes en la conservación del patrimonio material e inmaterial de la ciudad, y su positivo impacto social y cultural.

Eusebio Leal's Havana

ABSTRACT: The article makes a brief account of the work of Eusebio Leal Spengler at the head of the Office of the City Historian on the occasion of his recent death. The management system, the sources of income, and the structure of institutions in charge of the conservation of Old Havana are highlighted. Some of the most relevant results in the conservation of the tangible and intangible heritage of the city, and their positive social and cultural impact, are also mentioned.
