RECOMPONIENDO LA CIUDAD INFORMAL EL PROYECTO MARIANAO
Abstract
vivienda.
Abstract:
The established limits to the west part of the city of La Habana,
in Marianao municipality, are set by 136 street. There are various
urban informal neighborhoods that are settled altogether in
the area limited by the former street and Quibú river. Two of
these neighborhoods, Indaya and La Escalera, are the proposals
by 4th year students from the School of Architecture. Such
proposals will cover from the urban general scale to the housing
specific scale. The ideology followed in these areas has been
that of the natural evolution and its urban improvement instead
of its eradication.
Key words: informal city, edge, spontaneous, slums, housing.
