A pesar de la importancia que tiene la creatividad para el desarrollo de la humanidad, es un concepto poco estudiado por las disciplinas científicas. Sin embargo, es un término que goza de popularidad y se emplea indiscriminadamente sin que se profundice en su conceptualización y sus regularidades metodológicas. Como resultado, el término se ha mitificado y rechazado por las ciencias contemporáneas. El presente artículo tiene como objetivo hacer una revisión sobre los resultados recientes de estudios científicos sobre creatividad y realizar una valoración sobre el estado del término. En este artículo, además, se sintetizan aspectos sobre la creatividad que pueden facilitar el diseño y la interpretación de estudios al respecto,
Despite the importance that creativity has for the development of humanity, it is a concept that is little studied by the scientific disciplines. However, it is a term that enjoys popularity and is used indiscriminately without deepening its conceptualization and methodological regularities. As a result, the term has been mythologized and rejected by contemporary sciences. This article aims to review the recent results of scientific studies on creativity and make an assessment of the state of the term. This article also synthesizes aspects about creativity that can facilitate the design and interpretation of studies in this regard.
