Es objetivo de este trabajo testificar y homenajear a María Abigail Rial Pérez por su trabajo en el sistema de Planificación Física de la región oriental de Cuba, como Maestra y fundadora en esta disciplina en Cuba; de su impronta en el saber lleno de matices y llevado también a la academia para la formación de generaciones. El trabajo se basa en la recopilación y la revisión de documentos familiares, personales y otros. Se realizaron también entrevistas a profesionales y amigos que aportaron datos relevantes de su vida y obra. Se ofrece una panorámica de las principales tareas realizadas en su labor como proyectista, asesora técnica y pedagoga.
