La experiencia del Taller en el Barrio El Astillero

Abstract

Se presentan los  resultados  obtenidos  en el Taller Internacional de la RED ALFA ADU_ 2020 por el grupo dirigido por el docente de Cuba. El taller fue organizado por la Universidad Católica de Santiago de Guayaquil entre el 3 y el 22 de octubre de 2013 en el Barrio el Astillero.

En este taller participaron 110 estudiantes que cursaban los semestres 5to y 6to en la Facultad de Arquitectura, los cuales se organizaron en 11 grupos, con igual número de profesores locales y visitantes, procedentes de: Argentina, Bélgica, Bolivia, Brasil, Costa Rica, Cuba, Panamá, Paraguay, Suecia, UK, y Venezuela. En estos talleres se confrontan los métodos de trabajo de los diferentes profesores invitados a partir de reevaluar los métodos tradicionales y revitalizar sus fortalezas, para luego aplicarlos a problemas de mediana complejidad, desarrollando competencias específicas en los estudiantes como la creatividad, creación de conciencia sobre la función cultural y social de la arquitectura, entre otras.
