DISEÑO ARQUITECTÓNICO Y DESEMPEÑO DURABLE DE LA VIVIENDA SOCIAL
Abstract
El desempeño durable de la edificación, expresado en el
mantenimiento de sus principales cualidades y requisitos de
uso dentro de rangos aceptables durante su vida útil, no
solo se logra mediante la aplicación de buenas prácticas de
construcción y una conservación sistemática durante la
explotación del edificio, sino que se asegura desde la
concepción del diseño. El logro de la durabilidad proyectada
de la vivienda, es también consecuencia de la aplicación de
requisitos de diseño orientados específicamente al aumento
de la durabilidad y el desempeño de la edificación.
Se presenta el resultado de un estudio teórico y
experimental que contribuye a ratificar la influencia del
diseño arquitectónico en el desempeño durable de la
vivienda social, a la vez que brinda lineamientos generales
para su perfeccionamiento.

The durable performance of the building, expressed in the
maintenance of the main properties and requirements of use
inside acceptable ranges during the useful life, not only it is
achieved by means of the application of good practices of
construction and a systematical conservation of the building,
but it insures itself from the conception of the design. The
achievement of the projected durability of the housing, is
also consequence of the application of design requirements
focused specifically to the increase of the durability and the
building performance. This paper presents the result of a
theoretical and experimental study that helps to ratify the
influence of the architectural design in the durable
performance of the social housing, simultaneously that offers
general guidelines for it development.
