EL ECLECTICISMO EN SANTIAGO DE CUBA Y SUS ETAPAS EVOLUTIVAS
Abstract
Partiendo de investigaciones recientemente realizadas sobre el estudio evolutivo a nivel nacional de la fachada de la casa cubana se presenta este
trabajo, que aborda un estudio tipológico detallado de la fachada ecléctica, el que permite enriquecer las características ya definidas de cada etapa evolutiva.
El trabajo presenta un método de análisis que, partiendo de la selección de una muestra representativa de viviendas ubicadas en el Centro Histórico de la Ciudad, desarticula la fachada en sus partes y elementos componentes, llegando a definir
por cada etapa, las variables tipológicas; de esta forma se logra destacar las particularidades expresivas de la fachada ecléctica, para el caso de
nuestra Ciudad, en cada variante estilística.

Leaving of investigations recently carried out on the evolutionary study at national level of the facade of the Cuban house, this work it is presented that approaches a typological study of the eclectic facade, the one that allows to already enrich the
characteristics defined of each evolutionary stage. The work presents an analysis method that, leaving of the selection of a representative sample of houses
to be located in the Historical Center of the city, it disarticulates the facade in its parts and component elements; ending up defining for each stage, the
typological forms, this way is possible to highlight the expressive particularities of the eclectic facade, for the case of our City, in each stylistic variant.
