Creating (making) architecture is generally understood as formally designing a building for construction. But CREATING Architecture is much more than that. Conceiving a building involves processes that go beyond the formal, the spatial, or the utilitarian, to achieve its coherent integration into a specific context. José Antonio Choy López, an architect and painter with wide professional experience, affirms that Architecture is always Art, as well as technology and a sustainable exchange with the environment. Creating Architecture requires a sturdy academic knowledge, but also sensitivity, creative thinking, and an essential teamwork approach. He asserts that, given current technological development, the role of the architect is irreplaceable, as artificial intelligence will never surpass human intelligence, because the latter will always be behind any advancement. Choy explains why he claims that knowledge, thought, commitment, and passion converge in the creation of architecture.
