Environmental Restoration and Urban Comfort in Tarapoto: The Role of Green Infraestructure
Keywords:

Tropical cities face challenges in urban comfort and environmental restoration due to green infrastructure management. The lack of natural spaces in urban environments affects the quality of life of inhabitants, increases temperatures, and degrades the environment. This article analyzes the effect of green infrastructure on environmental restoration and urban comfort in the city of Tarapoto during the year 2024, using a mixed approach with a non-experimental design. The sample consisted of 55 residents of homes located between blocks 10 and 24 of Circunvalación Avenue. The results reveal that 81% of respondents perceive a positive and significant impact of green infrastructure on their quality of life. These findings highlight the importance of promoting public policies for the development and maintenance of green spaces in warm cities like Tarapoto, promoting a more sustainable and livable urban environment.
