Residing in Transitional Spaces. Perception and Formation of Bodies

The increase in population flow in various latitudes around the world has prompted the construction of units for intimacy, multiplied in horizontal layers extended vertically, in turn generating reconfigurations of the body-space relationship. This article seeks to analyze the formative implications of displacements in places of common transit that connect these multifamily units through an interdisciplinary dialogue sparked by the fields of spatial transformation and human geography. It draws on the epistemological horizon of research-creation, which unfolds through a methodological approach of artist residencies that allows us to pause, observe, and reflect on the everyday practices produced within semi-public and private spaces. The results reflect an immersion in bodily experiences that challenge the concept of containment space, based on its active participation in the formation of the body. The conclusions offer insights to broaden the field of vision toward the unity formed by space and people's perception.
