Interior Design Syllabus in the Economic and Labor Context of Ciudad Juárez

The curriculum of the Interior Design (DI) degree at the Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez was modified more than five years ago, which requires updating it and adapting it to the institutional guidelines of the new educational model adopted by the university. The objective of this research was to define the current conditions of the work and socio-economic context as a basis for readjusting the career program. To do this, a documentary investigation was carried out, complemented by surveys and interviews with graduates of the last courses. The results allowed us to know the new conditions of the labor market, and the economic activities that have had the greatest development recently. From this information it has been possible to contribute to the definition of contents, topics and subjects for updating the study program of the degree.
