Impact of Climate Change on the Thermal Performance of Houses According to their Altitude Level

The construction of social housing (VIS) in Colombia has developed typologies that result in greater constructive and economic efficiency, without differing in design depending on the location. This contribution evaluates the thermal performance of a house replicated at different levels of a project in Bello, Antioquia, Colombia. Measurements were made at the site, and RHINO 3D software with Grasshopper was used for the evaluation according to climate change, (years 2050 and 2080). In the base case, it ended that the house had 74% of the time in comfort and 24% in a cold situation. However, if you drop to the last level, the comfort time increases to 67%. In the 2080 scenario, the time in comfort increases in the base case, but decreases in the last level. These results invite us to consider the design in a differentiated way for the houses according to the height.
