GRABADO, ARTE Y ECONOMÍA
Abstract
El siguiente trabajo aborda un tema muy importante en el siglo XIX cubano, la vinculación del grabado, manifestación que alcanza rango artístico en el período, con la economía del país, la industria tabacalera y azucarera. Se analizan a partir de los diferentes temas abordados por el grabado como se refleja la realidad cubana de la colonia y se destaca el valor, no solo artístico sino documental de esta manifestación para comprender el desarrollo de la cultura en el siglo XIX.

The next article treat a theme very important in the Cuban XIX century,
the relationship between the engraving, a manifestation that reach artistic rank in this period, and the national economy, the industries of tobacco and sugar. It is
analyzed how was revealed the Cuban society of the colony by the engravings and it is emphasized not only its artistic value, but also its documentary significance to
understand the development of the culture in the XIX century.
