La ciudad como recurso educativo en los procesos de participación e integración socio-urbana
RESUMEN: La utilización de la ciudad como un recurso educativo no es un tema nuevo; la ciudad es un marco de relaciones y contactos entre sus habitantes que permite hablar de un espacio de aprendizaje informal (lo cotidiano, vivir en la ciudad) y un aprendizaje formal intencionalmente organizado y estructurado que se desarrolla de acuerdo con diferentes programas o proyectos (tanto del gobierno o de la sociedad civil). El trabajo presenta el desarrollo de estrategias en el ámbito educativo, integrando profesores y estudiantes de distintas disciplinas, en especial de la Arquitectura, para acercar al ciudadano a su ciudad. Los resultados ayudaron a elevar la valoración cultural, ambiental, artística e histórica de los participantes hacia su entorno urbano, fomentando el respeto entre los ciudadanos, y su inclusión en procesos de participación social.

The City as an Educational Resource in the Processes of Participation and Socio-Urban Integration
ABSTRACT: The use of the city as a didactic resource is not a new topic; the city is a framework of relationships and contacts between its inhabitants, which allows us to talk about an informal learning space (the everyday, living in the city) and an intentionally organized and structured formal learning that is developed according to different programs or projects (both government or civil society). The work presents the development of strategies in the educational field, integrating teachers and students from different disciplines, especially Architecture, to bring citizens closer to their city. The results helped to raise the cultural, environmental, artistic and historical valuation of the participants towards their urban environment, promoting respect among citizens, and their inclusion in processes of social participation.
