Los materiales de construcción, su ausencia en la Certificación de edificio sustentable (CES), Chile 

RESUMEN: Casi treinta años después de la Cumbre de Río, donde prácticamente el mundo entero se comprometió a basar el futuro en un modelo de desarrollo sostenible que permitiera un equilibrio entre los aspectos sociales, ambientales y económicos, con el objetivo de frenar y revertir los principales problemas que enfrenta la humanidad, se han desarrollado importantes herramientas de medición que permiten avanzar hacia una construcción cada vez más responsable. La herramienta de Certificación de Construcción Sostenible Chile creada en 2012 y puesta en vigencia en 2015, no incluye los materiales de construcción como categoría de evaluación. Este trabajo lleva a cabo una revisión comparativa de la presencia de materiales de construcción en las herramientas de certificación de sostenibilidad a nivel internacional, observando que las certificaciones más sólidas y reconocidas incluyen los materiales, otorgándole alta puntuación. Certificaciones como BREEAM y LEED se aplicaron en Chile con gran éxito demostrando que los datos existen y pueden ser incluidos.

Building Materials the Great Absent in the Certification of Sustainable Building (CES), Chile

ABSTRACT: Almost 30 years after the Rio Summit, where practically the entire world promised to base the future on a model of sustainable development that would allow a balance between social, environmental and economic aspects, with the aim of curbing and reversing the main problems facing humanity, important measurement tools have been developed that allow us to move towards an increasingly responsible construction. The Chile Sustainable Construction Certification tool created in 2012 and put into effect in 2015 does not include construction materials as an evaluation category. This work carries out a comparative review of the presence of construction materials in the sustainability certification tools at an international level, observing that the most solid and recognized certifications include the materials, giving it high marks. Certifications such as BREEAM and LEED were applied in Chile with great success demonstrating that the data exists and can be included.
