LA CALLE: ESPACIO DE TRANSICIONALIDAD EN CAYO HUESO
Abstract
Abstract
The summary of the conducted research shows the inhabitant's
behavior, and how the phenomena related to the urbanarchitectonic
transition between the private and public space are
seen in Cayo Hueso neighborhood. Several techniques were
implemented to understand the neighborhood, amongst them:
the Kevin Linch cognitive maps, the doer theory (a network
developed by Bruno Latour) which stands on the observation of
the daily routine, and the Grounded Theory method as part of
the working process. Also, the research is supported by a large
collection of information and interest from the neighborhood
comprehensive workshop. These works provided new facts on
the identity of Cayo Hueso, and its material, environmental and
spiritual needs that can pave the way for future renovation of its
architectonic and urban transitional spaces.
Key words: environmental psychology, urban space.
