DISEÑO DE LA VIVIENDA PREFERENCIAS DE LA POBLACIÓN
Abstract
ResumenEste trabajo recoge los resultados de un estudio desarrollado
en cuatro municipios de La Habana con el objetivo de conocer
las preferencias de la población en relación con el diseño de las
viviendas. Se propusieron viviendas apropiadas para las zonas
centrales de la capital. El estudio abarcó 684 viviendas de los
municipios Habana Vieja, Centro Habana, Cerro y 10 de Octubre;
se entrevistaron a 774 de un total de 2 374 personas que
componía la muestra. Se aportan criterios para el diseño de
viviendas sobre la base de la caracterización de la población en
cuanto a sexo, edad, escolaridad y ocupación; definición de los
patrones de actividad doméstica; preferencias sobre las
cualidades de los espacios de la vivienda, así como preferencias
y posibilidades en relación con las formas de progresividad de la
vivienda.

Abstract
This paper gathers the results of a study that took place in
four areas of Havana City with the aim of identifying people's
preferences in housing design as part of a wider research
program that proposed specific housing solutions for the city's
central areas. The study included 684 dwellings in the
neighborhoods Habana Vieja, Centro Habana, Cerro, and 10
de Octubre. A total of 774 people from the complete sample
of 2 374 were interviewed. The work brings design criteria for
new housing buildings to be settled in the traditional city based
on the characterization of the people (age, sex, occupation
and learning); definition of patterns of domestic activity;
preferences in relation to the spaces and the predilections
and possibilities regarding the progressivity of the housing.
