Problemas actuales del diseño de interiores de la vivienda social en Cuba

RESUMEN: Este artículo aborda los problemas relativos al diseño de interiores de la vivienda social en Cuba. Se parte de suponer que el diseño de interiores es un componente del diseño arquitectónico, pero esta relación depende de factores tanto arquitectónicos como de otros definidos por las condiciones sociales en que ésta se produce. El trabajo utiliza métodos teóricos para interpretar los resultados de estudios
sobre niveles de satisfacción de la población en relación con sus viviendas, así como de las condiciones de su producción en las últimas décadas. Se presentan los principales problemas de los espacios interiores de la
vivienda, se definen sus posibles causas y se proponen enfoques para su solución. Se concluye que el diseño de interiores de la vivienda social se diferencia del resto de los programas arquitectónicos, lo cual debe
ser reconsiderado en las políticas de vivienda bajo las condiciones de producción actuales con vistas a elevar su calidad.
ABSTRACT: This paper deals with interior design of social housing in Cuba. The work starts form the idea that interior design is a component of the architectural design, but this relation depends on architectural factors
as well as other coming from the social conditions of its production. This work uses theoretical methods to explain the results of studies devoted to define satisfaction levels of people regarding their home spaces, and the
conditions of production of habitat in last decades. This paper exposes some of the principal problems of indoor spaces at home; explains its possible causes and proposes approaches for its solution. We conclude that interior design of social housing is different from other type of buildings so it must be reviewed in the politics of housing under nowadays-productive conditions in order to improve its quality.
