Investigación científica y docencia universitaria. El eslabón perdido

RESUMEN: La ciencia contemporánea constituye una de las fuerzas productivas clave para el desarrollo social, pero está más limitada por falta de personal con calificación científica y habilidades de investigación que por recursos tecnológicos. Un científico profesional debe dominar habilidades paralelas al propio dominio de la carrera que constituyen un oficio en sí mismo y por ello este proceso de aprendizaje no debe dejarse a la espontaneidad. Las universidades forman profesionales, pero no existe una carrera de científico. Este artículo analiza algunas de las causas de ese desencuentro y sugiere algunas alternativas para mejorar la comunicación entre los científicos y los profesores universitarios.
ABSTRACT: The contemporary science in one of the key forces of social development but is more hampered by lack of qualified personnel than by technological resources. The professional scientists most domain certain skills parallels to their specific specialties that constitute a proper craft. Therefore, this additional learning should not be leaved to spontaneity. Universities produce specialists but there is not a scientist as a career. This paper analyzes some of the causes of this problem as well as suggest some alternatives to improve the communication between scientist and university professors
