Heritage information in Santiago de Cuba. Scopes from the Universidad de Oriente
ABSTRACT: Recording, documenting, and heritage information management has evolved into a key topic, within the wider heritage conservation area. The Cuban context shows significative potential to develop this subject; however, there is still little experience of it, mostly evidenced in the city of Santiago de Cuba. This paper aims at exposing the academia’s current scopes in order to develop and improve heritage information management. Therefore, the text focuses on already achieved results, and planned work as a result of the collaboration established from international projects hosted at the Universidad de Oriente, Santiago de Cuba, which have a positive impact on both, research and teaching fields.
