RESUMEN: ¿Qué debemos entender por perspectiva
de género? ¿Por qué, para qué y cómo aplicar la
perspectiva de género al diseño arquitectónico y
urbano? ¿Es solo un problema funcional o formal? Si
bien es cierto que desde movimientos feministas se ha
tratado de reivindicar el papel de las mujeres aún queda
mucho camino por recorrer. Es necesario, en el ámbito
del diseño arquitectónico y urbano, lograr soluciones
que tengan en cuenta los diferentes roles que en la vida
cotidiana desempeñan las mujeres de forma tal que
conduzcan a generar espacios más “amables” para toda
la sociedad desde la experiencia de las mujeres. Zaida
Muxí expone en esta entrevista aspectos conceptuales
de gran valor así como algunas vías para la inserción de
la perspectiva de género en la práctica arquitectónica,
desde el aula universitaria hasta la concepción y gestión
de la realidad cotidiana de la ciudad.

ABSTRACT: What we mean by gender perspective?
Why, for what and how to apply gender perspective to
architectural and urban design? Is it only a formal or
functional problem? While it is true that from feminist
movement has tried to claim the role of women still
have a long way to go. It is necessary, in the field of the
architectural and urban design, achieve solutions that
take into account the different roles of the women in
their everyday lives in a way that will lead to generate
more “friendly” spaces to this segment of society. In
this interview, Zaida Muxí exposes conceptual aspects
of great value as well as some ways for the inclusion of
the gender perspective in architectural practice, from
the University to the conception and management of
everyday reality of the city.
