La conservación del patrimonio edificado, una responsabilidad social desde la universidad
Abstract
RESUMEN: En este trabajo se demuestra el impacto de la gestión de los procesos universitarios para atender la responsabilidad social ante la conservación del patrimonio edificado desde la carrera de Arquitectura de la Universidad de Oriente. Estos procesos tienen un carácter interdisciplinario y se logran mediante la interrelación de facetas como la formación curricular de pregrado, de posgrado, académica y científica, la ciencia e innovación integrada a la actividad científica estudiantil. Los resultados alcanzados tienen impacto científico, económico y social y se expresan a través de la docencia, las publicaciones, premios, participación en eventos, colaboración internacional, tesis de doctorado y maestría defendidas, acciones de los grupos científicos estudiantiles, así como la realización de un evento propio. El impacto de los resultados se ha logrado mediante la acción integrada con la Oficina del Conservador de la Ciudad de Santiago de Cuba, las dependencias de patrimonio, Dirección Provincial de Planificación Física, y otras entidades afines.

ABSTRACT: In this paper, we demonstrate the impact of university management processes to meet the social responsibility towards the conservation of built heritage in undergraduate studies in the architecture program at the Universidad de Oriente. These processes have an interdisciplinary nature and are achieved through the interplay of facets of undergraduate, post-graduate, academic, and science and innovation curricula that are integrated into the scientific training of students. The results show scientific, economic and social impact and are expressed through teaching, publications, awards, participation in events, international collaboration, doctoral and master theses defended the actions of student scientific groups, as well as the realization of an International meeting. The activity was coordinated with the Oficina del Conservador of the City of Santiago de Cuba, Government and heritage agencies, the Provincial Directorate of Physical Planning, among other entities.
