Diseño accesible de espacios de intercambio para adultos mayores
Abstract
Este artículo presenta reflexiones basadas en un análisis científico con enfoque transdisciplinario que conducen a nuevas pautas de diseño para el logro de la accesibilidad en los espacios de intercambio social donde participan adultos mayores. El envejecimiento de la población como fenómeno sociodemográfico de la sociedad contemporánea tiene incidencias en el diseño de los espacios arquitectónicos. Sus elementos de mayor relevancia radican en la construcción y desarrollo de un sistema que considera, no solo la incidencia de diferentes áreas disciplinarias del conocimiento, sino también elementos cambiantes de la realidad. Los análisis que se presentan forman parte de la investigación de uno de los autores para su tesis doctoral. La misma tiene como objetivo definir pautas de diseño para el logro de la accesibilidad en los espacios de intercambio social donde participan adultos mayores.

Abstract: Aging of the contemporary society influenced the developments of all the scientifical and profesional disciplines. Designers and architects must think around this item. The spaces should be change according to this problematic. This paper analysis the items to be consider on design to allow elderly people using the collective spaces with the same opportunities than others. The research focuses on a transdisciplinary approach. It constructs a system that includes not only the different knowledge from the related disciplines, but also the reality of the society. The paper shows the outcomes of the doctoral thesis of one of the author. This doctoral thesis focused the problematic on accessibility on interior spaces. The main goal is to obtain new integral patterns for the design of spaces.
