El taller de diseño como centro de formación de valores. Experiencias en los proyectos de conservación de la Cujae
Abstract
Resumen: El artículo describe las experiencias extraídas en la realización de los proyectos para la conservación de veintiséis edificios del campus del Instituto Superior Politécnico José Antonio Echeverría. El proyecto fue encargado por la dirección de la universidad para disponer de la documentación técnica que permitiera solicitar al Estado el presupuesto para del año 2014, en que la institución celebrará su medio siglo de existencia. El trabajo se desarrolló con estudiantes de cuarto año de la carrera de Arquitectura como parte de sus asignaturas curriculares. En el artículo se describen los procedimientos seguidos, los principales resultados obtenidos y las opiniones de los participantes. Las ventajas asociadas al desarrollo de estos proyectos con la participación de estudiantes fueron varias: el ahorro de dinero a la institución por la elaboración de los mismos; la adquisición de conocimientos y de experiencias prácticas de alto nivel profesional en poco tiempo y la formación de valores de compromiso y de pertenencia. Se logró conciliar los objetivos académicos con las necesidades de la producción, observándose que el componente humano relativo a la motivación y el compromiso individual y colectivo tuvieron un peso mayor del que se le asigna habitualmente en situaciones similares.

Abstract: The article describes the experiences gained in the implementation of projects for conservation of 26 buildings on the campus of the Instituto Superior Politécnico José Antonio Echeverría. The project was commissioned by the Rector of the university to provide technical documentation that would apply to the state budget for 2014, in which the institution will celebrate its half century of existence. The work was conducted with fourth-year students of architecture as part of their curriculum subjects. The article describes the procedures followed, the main results and the opinions of the participants. The advantages associated with the development of these projects with the participation of students were several: saving money to the institution for the preparation thereof, the acquisition of knowledge and practical experience of senior professional in a short time and the formation of values of commitment and belonging. With these projects, we were able to reconcile the academic goals with the needs of production, showing that the human component on motivation and individual and collective commitment had a weight greater than that usually assigned in similar situations.
