ABSTRACT
: Housing is one of the most important
expressions of culture and one of the elements
representing the degree of development of the process
of social production of habitat. Across Africa with soil
building traditions exist, variant results demonstrated
by its low cost and low environmental pollution, however
the correct no constructive use of ancestral experience
and inadequate selection of settlements and the non-use
of alternative materials native has made a practice with
proven results, not intensively exploited. In this paper
we present characterization of the housing system in
the province of Uige in Angola, and their main problems
from a technical standpoint-making constructive, an
assessment is made of the major damage.

: La vivienda es una de las expresiones
más importantes de la cultura y uno de los elementos
representativos del grado de desarrollo del proceso
de producción social del hábitat. En toda África
existen tradiciones constructivas con tierra, variante
con resultados demostrados por su bajo costo y baja
contaminación ambiental, sin embargo, la no correcta
utilización de las experiencias constructivas ancestrales
y la inadecuada selección de los asentamientos, así
como la no utilización de los materiales alternativos
autóctonos ha hecho que una práctica con probados
resultados, no sea intensivamente aprovechada. En
el presente artículo se presenta caracterización del
sistema habitacional de la provincia de Uige en Angola,
así como sus principales problemas desde el punto de
vista técnico-constructivo, se realiza una descripción de
los principales deterioros.
