La sustentabilidad en el planeamiento del desarrollo turístico en ciudades patrimoniales
Abstract
Resumen. Las ciudades con un
patrimonio significativo tienen ante
sí el reto de alcanzar un desarrollo
sustentable; una alta afluencia turística
puede modificar sus valores intrínsecos,
sus recursos culturales, en contradicción
con las necesidades y aspiraciones de
los visitantes. Este artículo tiene como
objetivo profundizar en diferentes
enfoques del tema de la sustentabilidad
dentro del planeamiento del desarrollo
turístico en ciudades de altos valores
patrimoniales. Las formulaciones que
se presentan se derivan de la revisión
de fuentes autorizadas. Como resultado
se argumenta que las ciudades con
un patrimonio especial requieren de
una gestión turística favorecedora de
la integridad física de sus recursos
culturales; la promoción, los aspectos
legales de la conservación patrimonial
y el contexto medioambiental deben ser
componentes esenciales del planeamiento
del desarrollo turístico, considerando
los aspectos económicos, funcionales y
socioculturales.
