DAÑOS DEL VIENTO EN ZONAS URBANAS
Abstract
Se ofrecen algunos criterios generales sobre el comportamiento de los vientos huracanados en diferentes zonas urbanas y la relación entre la morfología de las mismas y los posibles daños. El propósito es ilustrar los posibles daños tomando como referencia ejemplo de eventos ocurridos, haciendo una modelación teórica del viento de acuerdo con la morfología urbana y una evaluación cualitativa general.

It is offered some general criteria about the behavior of the hurricanes’ winds in different urban areas and the relationship between the urban morphology and the possible damages. The purpose is to illustrate the possible damages taking as
reference examples of happened events, making a theoretical modeling of the wind according to the urban morphology and a general qualitative evaluation.
