INTERCAMBIO ACADÉMICO SANTIAGO DE CUBA-SEVILLA
Abstract
El intercambio académico entre la Facultad de Construcciones de la
Universidad de Oriente y la Escuela de Arquitectura de Sevilla,
realizado durante el curso 2005-2006 con la colaboración de la
Oficina del Conservador de la Ciudad y de la Junta de Andalucía,
tuvo una primera fase de encuentro en La Habana en septiembre
de 2004 con el objetivo de conocer la ciudad mediante recorridos
guiados por sectores que sintetizan la historia urbana de casi cinco
siglos, dando lugar a un publicación monográfica con el título
Aprendiendo de La Habana. El intercambio se desarrolló en cinco
fases, sobre un programa común que abordaba la problemática
urbana de Santiago de Cuba en diversas escalas, centrándose en el
anillo circunvalante del Centro Histórico, proponiendo varias
actuaciones. Dos fases tuvieron el formato de Seminario
desarrollándose en Santiago de Cuba y Sevilla. El resultado dio
lugar a una publicación monográfica con el título Dos miradas: SCUSVQ
y una exposición, presentándose ambas en Santiago de Cuba
y Sevilla.

The academyc interchange between the Construction Faculty from
the Orient University and the Architecture School from Sevilla,
made during the last course with the colaboration of the City
Conservator Office and financed by the Junta de Andalucía, take
their first phase in septembre 2004 in Havana, in order to know
this city with several guided walks along different urban sectors,
which represent the five centuries urban history, collected in the
book Aprendiendo de La Habana. This interchange was developed
in five phases, with a common programme which studied the
Santiago de Cuba urban problems in different scales, specially in the
ring around the historic city, with projects about urban structure
and others. Two of them were developed in Santiago de Cuba and
Sevilla like two seminaries. This experience was collected in a book
and in an exposition: Dos miradas: SCU-SVQ, which were exposed
in Santiago de Cuba and Sevilla.
