INTEGRACIÓN ACADÉMICA EN LA CARRERA DE ARQUITECTURA
Abstract
Se expone una experiencia que se viene desarrollando en la
carrera de Arquitectura de la Universidad de Oriente desde
hace varios cursos, como resultado de la integración, en el
primer semestre del cuarto año de Arquitectura, de tres
asignaturas: Proyecto VI, Teoría de la Arquitectura y el
Urbanismo VII y Metodología de la Investigación Científica, con
el propósito de potenciar la formación de habilidades
orientadas a la conceptualización, el debate y la
fundamentación de las soluciones de proyecto, sobre la base
de la aplicación de métodos científicos. El colectivo de
profesores ha trabajado por varios cursos en la concepción
didáctica de la integración y en la sistematización de las
actividades docentes requeridas para la formación de tales
habilidades. Los resultados han demostrado la viabilidad de
tales experiencias aun cuando quedan aspectos por resolver
en el plano metodológico y de coordinación docente.

The article expresses the experience that has been developing
in the Architecture major of the Universidad de Oriente for
several courses. This investigation is a result of the integration
in the first semester of the fourth course, of three subjects:
Project VI, Theory of Architecture and Urbanism VII and
Methodology of Investigation, in order to the develop some
skills, addressed to the conceptualization, the debate, and to
the explanation of the project solutions, using the scientific
methods. The group of professors has worked to develop the
didactic bases of integration and to establish the learning
activities requires for the formation of such skills. The results
have showed the viability of such experiences even when there
are some aspects that have not been solve methodologically
speaking, and in the professors’ arrangement.
