LA ARQUITECTURA DOMÉSTICA SANTIAGUERA DEL SIGLO XIX
Abstract
La imagen singular del Centro Histórico urbano de Santiago de Cuba
está determinada en gran medida por sus construcciones domésticas
de la etapa colonial.
El interés se centra en el comportamiento de las edificaciones del
siglo XIX, ubicándolas en su contexto histórico y definiendo sus
rasgos y características principales. La digitalización de datos de
gran importancia obtenidos en el Archivo Histórico Municipal,
permitió realizar una validación de las características de las fachadas
de este período, al comparar planteamientos de investigaciones
precedentes con los resultados arrojados por la información de
archivo.

The singular image of the urban historical center of Santiago of
Cuba is determined in great measure by its domestic
constructions of the colonial stage. The interest was centered in
the behavior of the constructions of the XIX century, locating them
in its historical context and defining its features and characteristic
main. The digitization of dates of great importance obtained in the
Municipal Historic Archive, allowed to carry out to validation of the
characteristics of the facades of this period, when comparing
positions of precedent investigations with the results hurtled by
the file information.
