Sergio Baroni; pensar la ciudad del futuro y actuar simultáneamente en el barrio de hoy
Abstract
ResumenSe presenta una aproximación crítica al pensamiento y obra del
arquitecto, profesor y Doctor en Ciencias Técnicas Sergio Baroni
Bassoni —Sérmide, Italia, 1930, Ciudad Habana, Cuba, 2001—
en el ochenta aniversario de su natalicio. Baroni es reconocido
por su trayectoria profesional y académica como una figura
imprescindible en la historia del Ordenamiento Territorial y el
Urbanismo en Cuba, y es identificado como el padre de la teoría
del sistema de asentamientos humanos.

Abstract
The author of present article intends to make a critical
approach on the thinking and work of Sergio Baroni Bassoni,
architect, professor and Doctor in Technical Sciences on the
occasion of his eighty birthday (Sérmide, Italy, 1930 -Ciudad
Habana, Cuba, 2001). Baroni is known as an essential figure in
the history of Territorial Distribution and Urbanism in Cuba ofr
his professional and academic work. He is also recognized as
the father of the system of human settlement.
