EL CENTRO HISTÓRICO DE SANTIAGO DE CUBA COMO OPCIÓN PARA EL TURISMO CULTURAL
Abstract
El turismo, en cualquiera de sus modalidades, permite el
desarrollo cultural de todas las personas que participan
en la actividad debido a que estas se nutren de nuevas
experiencias y conocimientos acerca de la idiosincrasia,
costumbres, creencias y tradiciones de otros pueblos o
etnias. El turismo en las ciudades es una nueva opción a
explotar en todos los sitios con valores y atributos capaces
de constituirse en motivación para un viaje. Conocer las
premisas que hacen de las ciudades un atractivo para el
turismo permite caracterizar al Centro Histórico de la
ciudad de Santiago de Cuba el cual posee altos valores
históricos, arquitectónicos, artísticos y ambientales para el
desarrollo del turismo.

Tourism, in any kind of modalities, permits to the people
involved their cultural improvement. The persons whose
participates in these activity acquires news experiences
and knowledge about traditions, habits and believes
related to peoples belonging to others cultures. Tourism
in the cities is a new option to develop in each place with
values and attributes able to be a motivation for a trip.
The knowledge about the main cities attributes for tourism
development permits their characterization. Old central
area of Santiago de Cuba city has significant historical,
architectural, social and environmental values in order to
increase the tourist activity.
