Experiencia docente con estudiantes no hispanohablantes de arquitectura para analizar la descripción
Abstract
RESUMEN: Los estudiantes no hispanohablantes que estudian Arquitectura en Cuba reciben, en los dos primeros años de la carrera, la asignatura Español. Analizar tipos de textos y entre ellos el descriptivo, constituye un contenido esencial. El objetivo del artículo fue presentar una experiencia docente que se llevó a cabo para impartir el contenido de la descripción. La experiencia se centra en el vínculo de este contenido con la profesión. Para esto se escogió la novela “Cecilia Valdés” de Cirilo Villaverde por ser un lienzo colosal del siglo XIX y donde el estudiante se apropia de las características de la descripción y del panorama social de la vida cubana en este período. Los resultados que se obtuvieron fueron excelentes. Se logró una mayor motivación de los estudiantes y se desarrollaron habilidades comunicativas y profesionales que para el futuro arquitecto son importantes.

ABSTRACT: Foreign students that do not speak Spanish in the faculty of architecture in Cuba receive Spanish classes for the first two years of their career. An essential content is to analyze different types of texts, specifically descriptive ones. The purpose of this paper is to present a teaching experience about the instruction of content description. The experience is centred on how the content related to the profession. The novel ¨Cecilia Valdés¨ from Cirilo Villaverde was chosen because it is an extraordinary picture of the XIX century and where students can learn the characteristics of social life in Cuba during that period. Students were greatly motivated by the experience and developed professional skills which are very important to future architects.
